This larger-than-life rescue cat is now the king of the subway..
Move over, influencers - there is a new celebrity in town, and he is currently napping right through his fifteen minutes of fame. Meet Suea Uan, or 'Fat Tiger', the chunky tabby who has officially turned the MRT Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre in Bangkok, Thailand, into his personal five-star lounge. Once a scrappy stray found injured on the streets, this lucky feline was rescued and nursed back to health by a legendary squad of local motorcycle taxi riders. Now, he has traded the tough life for a permanent residency at Exit 4, where he spends his days perfecting the art of the 'do-not-disturb' snooze while thousands of commuters rush past him.
Life is pretty sweet for this hefty moggy, who is usually spotted lounging on the floor and cuddling his two favourite teddy bears. He is so incredibly chill that the hustle and bustle of a major transit hub doesn't faze him in the slightest. In fact, his social media fame has grown so much that people are lining up just to catch a glimpse of his legendary naps. One lucky commuter was even caught on camera gently scooping the docile cat onto her lap for some much-deserved belly rubs, proving that Suea Uan is officially the most relaxed resident in all of Bangkok.
However, being a local icon comes with its own set of weighty issues. Thanks to an endless stream of fans bearing gifts, Fat Tiger has ballooned in size, leading his guardians to implement a bit of a diet plan. His caretaker, Jack, says the cat is a total professional sleeper who clocks in about fourteen hours of shut-eye a day. While he loves a good cuddle or a bit of play, he is mostly just there for the vibes and the naps. The local cabbies are now kindly asking fans to hold off on the snacks so their favourite feline doesn't outgrow the station entirely. From a vulnerable kitten to a pampered metro king, Suea Uan is living proof that a little community love can turn anyone’s luck around.
